How To Give Baby Up For Adoption After Birth

Even if you’ve already given birth, it’s never too late to “give baby up for adoption.” We prefer to say, “place baby for adoption,” as it’s important to remember that by choosing adoption, you aren’t giving your baby up. Instead, you’re placing them with an adoptive family in order for them to live the best life possible – one that maybe you feel that you cannot provide at this time. However, we want women to feel comfortable to use the language they are comfortable using.

Over the years, we’ve worked with many women who have chosen adoption after birth for a variety of reasons, whether that be because the father left or because they didn’t fully know all of their options. Regardless of what your reasoning is, it’s not too late to choose adoption.

Post-birth adoptions are similar to newborn adoptions. You are able to choose the adoptive family for your child and you can meet with them as soon as you’d like. You’re also able to choose how you would like the adoption to proceed. Like all birth mothers, you will receive free-of-charge counseling.

If you’re struggling and feel you just can’t parent, call or text us (850) 308-1836. Madonna and her team are here 24/7 to talk with you and help you understand all of your options.
