MADONNA is a Florida attorney who limits her practice to adoption law. She is one of the first attorneys in the state of Florida to be Board Certified in Adoption Law, and is considered an Adoption Law Specialist by the Florida Bar. Ms. Finney is a Fellow of the prestigious American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, and serves as a Director and the Legislative Chair for the Florida Adoption Council. She is past President of the Florida Association of Adoption Lawyers, and has served on the Florida Bar Family Law Section Committee on Adoption. She is actively involved in adoption issues before the State of Florida Legislature and has testified before numerous committees. She is a former professional lobbyist, and a founding member of the Florida Association of Professional Lobbyists.
Madonna is a founder of COSHARE, INC., a non-profit organization dedicated to providing medical supplies and equipment to children in developing companies. In 1995, the Florida Supreme Court and Governor Lawton Chiles recognized her for outstanding Pro Bono service to the court for her representation of abused, abandoned and neglected children. In 2008, she was presented the Adoption Star Award by the Florida Adoption Council for her work in the area of adoption. She graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 1987, and has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1988. Ms. Finney is admitted to the Federal Bar of the Middle District of Florida, and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court. She has achieved the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, meaning she’s rated at the highest level of professional excellence by the legal community.
Madonna has followed in her father’s footsteps, practicing law. She learned the importance of the ethical practice of adoption law from him as he participated in many adoptive placements in the 50's, 60's and 70's as part of his pro bono service to the South Florida community where Madonna grew up. She is the proud mother of two college age daughters.

MARILU has worked as our firm's Adoption
MARILU has worked as our firm's Adoption Coordinator (Social Worker) since 1998. She is a graduate of the University of Miami and has worked in the social work field for over 20 years. Marilu is fluent in English and Spanish. Adoption is very near and dear to her heart, as she is both an Adoptee and Adoptive Mother. She is happily married and the proud mother of twin daughters who are in college. Marilu works closely with our birth and adoptive families, assisting them with the non legal issues in the adoption process.
DEANNA has worked as our firm's Administrative
DEANNA has worked as our firm's Administrative Assistant for Legal Issues since 2009, providing support to both adoptive and birth families and our legal staff. She joined our firm after having worked as a court reporter and has worked in the legal field for over 15 years. She is the proud mother of a very spunky daughter who keeps her quite busy.
SABRINA has worked as our firm's Administrative
SABRINA has worked as our firm's Administrative Assistant since 2014. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in Sociology. Sabrina enjoys spending time with family (especially her niece and nephew whom she adores!) and going to FSU Football games. She keeps our office running smoothly and assists birth mothers and adoptive families.
ANGELA has worked for our firm since February
ANGELA has worked for our firm since February 2012. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Child Sciences and Psychology and a Master of Social Work from Florida State University. She is currently a registered clinical social work intern and hopes to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in September of 2016. She is married and she and her husband have two young children. When Angela is not spending time with her family and chasing her children around, she enjoys exercising and gardening. Angela works closely to provide support services and counseling to our birth mothers.
Leah is a part-time social worker who has been
Leah is a part-time social worker who has been on the Law Office staff for over 10 years. Since obtaining her Masters degree in Social Work from FSU in 1994, Leah has spent a majority of her career focusing on serving families through both foster care and adoption. Having been adopted herself at the age of 14, Leah is passionate about seeking to support the development of forever families. Through her work with the Law Office, Leah has been incredibly privileged to have worked alongside courageous birthmothers and has supported many precious adoptive families grow through the gift of adoption.
